Nostalgic Videos for anyone who's really into Big Country

"This video compilation is very special for me. I used to see a lot of these vidoes in my teens when Big Country were really big. What nostalgia! Most of the vidoes for their best hits are really simple but effective. The most creative videos are the ones for Just A Shadow (My all time favourite Big Country track), East Of Eden, Hold The Heart, Broken Heart (Thirteen Valleys), Heart Of The World, Alone and Ships. My only disappointment is that no videos from the "Why The Long Face" album were included. However, this is a MUST for any hardcore Big Country fan, and a worthwile investment for followers of good rock music without pretentions. May Big Country's music live long."
Nostalgia, but very refreshing nonetheless...

"As was stated in another review, this is like discovering some hidden gems, yes...
I wish I would have seen these when they were 1st run, (well, we all saw "In a Big Country" ad nauseum on MTV right?) but I think by the time they has released "Steeltown" I had stopped watching TV altogether, so... :P
I just want to add that it was refreshing as heck to see some old school music videos that focus on the band and the music instead of all that strobe-o-editing, matrix-like effects, &/or the too skinny model-running-down-the-alley-in-the-rain crapola.
They couldn't have made a better video for "Wonderland"...well, if they would have managed to animate the COVER of the 12 inch extended remix single of that song...
ahhh Stuart, close to the annversary of your death, this is bittersweet, to finally see these videos (and all of the concerts coming out on dvd) but we should be greatful they are. ( I know I am )"
Must have

"This collection is ideal for Big Country or 80's fans in the States because most of them were never seen in America. To me they were like hidden tracks or things just discovered in the vault. The videos are like a machine that lets you travel back to your teen years. You can watch something new for the first time and feel those butterflies in your stomach because one of your favorite bands just released a world premier video. Some of the videos are kind of hokie, but weren't we all?"
Through the years...

"I am a new fan of Big Country, introduced to their incredible sound just two years ago. I love this DVD because I had seen it in video and the DVD quality adds to the enjoyment. Any Big Country fan should have this DVD because it is so fun seeing the old videos, the youthful, slender band members and Stuart's hair! (My hubby has worn his hair like Stuart's for 20 years!)and this is almost the ONLY band we still listen to regularly.
In "King of Emotion" the guys are all in black and white and Stuart looks hot in his black leather vest and boots; and in "Wonderland" (I believe) they do the entire song outside in the snow. It is a fun, engaging introduction AND walk down memory lane with Big Country, my now favorite group. Stuart--RIP."
Big Country: The Ultimate Collection a Must Have!

"This is a DVD you must own if you are a Big Country fan in any sense of the word. What better than to see BC in their glory days, and the videos that brought them to our living rooms in the 80's. Toss in a few newer videos like Fragile Thing & Perfect World from the 90's & this collection comes full circle. A great blend of rock with a Celtic twist, Big Country's music shines with anthemic tales of adventure, hardship, love, & celebration. The videos have been touched up a little, and the sound is great. Get it and you'll love it!"
