Movie Reviews

The best I have seen in years
H.C.G. | Southern CA, USA | 08/26/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I have purchased several so called "New Age", or "Space Music" titles over the years and I am familiar with Nicholas Gunn's work. I have also found myslef incresingly displeased with this genre of music. However, I am pleased to say that finally Nicholas Gunn is taking the initiative to do something different by bringing some clarity to this very wishy washy style of music. There is CD and a DVD inside the most beautiful artwork packaging, of which I cannot compare to anything else presently. Clever that you can seperate the two potions of this release, as the music on the CD (although it is the same as on the DVD for the most part) is a different experience altogether as there are no visual prompts, and is exceptional to say the least. The DVD stimulates and redirects your visual and auditory sense with just playing CD alone, a really lovely and smart addition. I had Beyond Grand Canyon playing on my plasma screen at a recent dinner party, not only did it complement the room, but the comments made during its presentation were of awe. If there were a rating that only applied to the most exceptional products ever created, this would fall under those guidelines. Congratulations to all those who created this marvelous piece of work."

"Listen to his music and feel

the sun grow within your heart

and soar on the wind with the

eagles. Beautiful music.

I highly recommend this

man and his music."
Deep and meaningful

"I always make it a point to read the other reviews before writting my own becuase it helps me focus on what I want to say. I have to be honest, I came here to rave about this title, which I still plan to do, but now I just want to blast the person who gave this title two stars, is that normal? I have four Nicholas Gunn albums including his first Grand Canyon album, and yes it is a great recording as well, but this new Grand Canyon title gave me goose bumps all over. If this is what "out there" is then that's where I want to be. I just don't get some peoples "stuckness" when it comes to music, oh well. You are great by me Mr. Gunn. I will keep coming back as long as you keep making beautiful music. My hat's also off to you Mr. Fatali, beautiful photography, wow!"
Music plus Photography are Awesome Combo

"Love Nicholas Gunn! The music on this CD is excellent of course; toward the mellower side of his repertoire. The accompanying DVD, which combines the music of the CD with the awesome photography of Michael Fatali, takes the experience to another level. A very creative and memorable piece of work. I highly recommended it."
