A classic and young House's Robert Sean Leonard is the main star in this if you are a fan. Some will love this and others might find it slow and dated.

This is a great classic vampire comedy if you're looking for just that. Lost Boys is a good horror comedy but great classic as well. :) All I can say is Watching House through the years and then this after the years Robert definitely still plays a good Wilson. :P

Shame on you: LIONSGATE..."A VHS Transfer"?

"Dont be fooled, Lionsgate is releasing several of these (The Lost Collection) of cheap quality, Full Screen versions of some of your old favorites that never made it to DVD, as INTENDED! My friend has this movie of (The Lost Collection) version. When compared to my old VHS version, we found it was frame to frame exactly the same, and even visual quality, as my Full Screen VHS Version. No Digital Inhancement, no Quality Up Date..Same movie just different Format: DVD..I checked up on all of these, (The Lost Collection) Releases, and they are exactly all the same, Full Screen, no quality inhancements..Basciclly, what you see is what you get..Anyone can go to Wal Mart and buy a DVD RECORDER, and you can make a transfer of any VHS Movie, but it wont change or enhance your recording, just because its on a DVD Disk. Does Lionsgate think we are stupid??..Well I guess they do because their (Lost collection) series is growing..I Know DVD format has replaced The Old VHS format, but come on, this is one of my favorite movies. I to was waiting the Grand DVD release of this wounderful movie, and "not a direct transfer from VHS", is what it exactally looks like..Shame on you Loinsgate..we Movie Lovers deserve MUCH Better than this sham of your fast buck, money making video transfer!..Atlest you dont fool me. Sorry if you disagee with my Review, but "I call them as I see Them"."

"Combine Tiger Beat with Degrassi Junior High and add a dash of Bram Stoker and there you have it! A Neurotic Dallas teenager without the slightest hint of a southern accent being coached by Rene Auberjenois on how to be a member of the pack. Fabulously entertaining I love this movie. a great popcorn movie, fun fun fun!"
5 stars for the movie - but 1 for the DVD...

"Hadn't seen this in years. Was surprised to find out that, if anything, I enjoyed it more now than back when it came out.
Filled with funny sight gags and a legitimate sense of breezy fun; this movie stands on it's own and isn't just recommended as a nostalgia piece. It's one of the better vampire comedies ever made (up there with "The Fearless Vampire Killers" and "Love at First Bite"). Recommended above other forays into the genre; such as "Once Bitten".
Unfortunately, this is a no-frills release so all you get here is the movie - and it looks like it was taken from a Laserdisk (or equivalent) master. Yeah - it's definitely better than watching the VHS - but not much."
80's Greatness

"We all remember the 80's as a time of strange yet great times. Look no further than a classic 80's vampire comedy. See Robert Sean Leonard in his young days before House in what may be one of his best comedic roles.
An average teen in high school meets a beautiful older woman that wants to meet him in the evening. He goes for it, looking forward to a night of passion only to find himself being bitten by a vampire only moments before a crazed slayer busts onto the scene. The boy then must go through the awkward change from mortal to vampire, all while dealing with the average high school anxiety that comes with being with a boy his age. Comic gold unfolds and you get to watch a boy become a man and a vampire very quickly.
