The story and characters you know and love come to spectacular life in the live-action adaptation of Disney's animated classic BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, a cinematic event celebrating one of the most beloved tales ever told..
The movie was "good enough" the first time I watched it, but the second, it was splendid. The action was exciting, songs grand, and sets and costumes beautiful. The movie was 40 minutes longer than the original Beauty and the Beast, but I didn't feel it. This was partially thanks to a few songs being lengthened and/or added, but the changes were great. Another improvement was the new lack of Stockholm syndrome; while in the original, Belle was quite interested in the Beast, Emma Watson is kind to him but obviously keeping a distance.
Sure, some parts were unreal, but I think that was the point: It's a fairy tale. Magical. Fiction. I don't get why LeFou has to be gay, but it's not said once in the movie, and the part where he dances with a man is about four seconds, if that. Emma Watson was autotuned, but I like the way it makes her voice echo, and the director tricked her into singing one song live in front of the camera. And yes, maybe the CGI could be better--but it's CGI better than I can do!
In the end, the film is not perfect, but who says it has to be? 4/5 stars!

Liked the movie but did Disney have to push their agenda with Lefou being a gay guy.. Other than that,, I liked it,,
