"Jim Henson's continued genus! His puppets are so much better for children than cartoon shows. They are easier from a neurological standpoint.
Love the characters, set, music, songs & animation. Bear is terrific and should be a TV show. I agree that this is not a hard-core potty training video. However, my daughter loves it and wants to sit on the potty after watching it - so thats good enough for me.
This video has 3 chapters and only one is about the potty. The other 2 are completely unrelated. I agree with one of the other reviewers that the "Shadow" segment is weird and patronizingly "Bronx-like". The shadow puppets are a nice idea but, should tie in with the theme of the show and be relevant. I wish the entire thing was about potty training. Overall, this is a fun, upbeat video that may not have heavy instruction but builds awareness. I recommend it."
Not focused on the potty enough

"Considering the title of this DVD, I was expecting to view shows that were focused on using the potty. The first show featured on this DVD addresses issues like going potty even if you're in the middle of a fun game, accidents sometimes happen even if you're trying to get to the potty really fast or when you're sleeping, etc. This is all great, but the next two episodes don't relate to the potty at all - at least not if you're a two-year-old!
I do think this show is very cute. My son likes "Bear and the Big Blue House" in general, but this was not very motivating with potty issues. If you're looking for a real potty-training aid, I highly recommend "Potty Power.""
Not that motivating, but cute

"My daughter, 2 1/2 doesn't want to watch it very often. I think it's cute, but it just doesn't seem to motivate my kid. My 1st choice in movies is "Potty Power". It's been pretty effective. Maybe this will work better for you, if your kid really loves Bear in the Big Blue House."
Potty Training Playtime

"As with all the Bear in the Big Blue House videos this DVD was done with fun music, great characters, and a lot of tact. If you are in the trenches of potty training or just starting this is a really fun and relatable DVD for the our little friends. We loved that fact that they even addressed pooping on the potty. This is often an issue not dealt with on other videos and often the hardest task to master. Other issues that Bear deals with are staying clean and dry, accidents while your trying to get there and you have to stop playing and go. The song "You're a Toileteer" has been sung over and over by the whole family. Of course we will love not talking about the toilet, someday. But since that doesn't seem to be anytime soon...We love our Bear!"
Very Cute!

"My son really enjoyed watching this video. It doesn't really go into detail about how to use the potty, however, it made my son interested in potty training!"
