A stunned Pádraic, aided by his sister Siobhán and troubled young islander Dominic, endeavours to repair the relationship, refusing to take no for an answer. I think that even if I had gone into this without any expectations I would have been disappointed. It's a very uninteresting tale, though I admit I gave up after only 20 minutes. The acting is fine, it just felt like the story was going nowhere at a pace too slow for me to enjoy. Colin Farrell whining about his lost friendship wasn't very entertaining, and whoever did his makeup needs to find new employment because his face was often 3 different colors at the same time. I suppose the film could have gotten much better but I simply could not get invested in the characters, or their plight.
