"This Mexican production, while not trailblazing and undeserving of praise that indicates it, is a very well-done piece of entertainment. It is very well done and easy to follow and the narrative has a beginning, a cause and a consequence.
It reminds me alot of "Requiem For A Dream" only packaged in a Modern-day cosmopolitan Mexico. It's a story in which we could be any of these common, modern day working characters and we could all fall down. I think that is why this film works very well because the message is accesible to everyone especially the evolving but still relentlessly conservative Mexico.
Ana De La Reguera I think is not only incredibly gorgeous but like her compatriot Salma Hayek, possesses an ability to transform into a character that's believable. Everything can be reviewed about this film but there is no denying that Ana's character was believable.
I highly recommend this film for being a drama that's easy to follow and not too heavy. It was not a movie that was intended to break a mould or awaken people's senses like it is often accused to be but it is still an excellent story."
