Not just another movie about the Holocaust, but a love story between a Nazi soldier and a Jewish girl. Very well done and the scenery is beautiful.

There have been innumerable movies made about the brutality of the Nazis during WWII but very few about the brutality of Stalin during the same time period. This movie gives us a window into the suffering of the innocent people who were being oppressed and murdered in Soviet occupied territories and it's every bit as heartbreaking. Not always easy to watch but a very well done film that deserves to be seen. The cinematography is outstanding, and the acting is first rate. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.
