Member Movie Reviews Jes G. (jesgear) from EAST MOLINE, IL Reviewed on 6/20/2014... The first (original) Arthur movie is a classic. It has so many quotable lines. Dudley Moore was at his peak here. And John Gielgud was amazing as Hobson. The sequel was quite a letdown. Many scenes give the impression that the filmmakers were trying too hard to capture the spirit of the original, but they fell short. I doubt I'll re-watch the second movie again any time soon. But anytime I want to watch a movie just for laugh-out-loud enjoyment, the first (original) Arthur is one I'll go to. 1 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful.
