A good DVD for beginning knitters.
Movie Reviews
It's okay, but not as good as the first one.

"I learned to knit for the first time with The Art of Knitting, so naturally I was eager to view this DVD when it came out, but I was somewhat disappointed. The demonstrations and instructional segments aren't as good as in number one. Intermediate skills 2 spends very little time on each technique covered. The sock knit-along is good, but the pictures are rather small and you have to get close to the screen to see it. The felting demo is pretty much useless. I didn't watch the crochet demo because I wasn't particularly interested, and therefore can't rate it. Most of the other video segments on the DVD, especially the ones that discussed yarn types and colors and so forth, were too brief to be any use. In general, I would say that this product has a some useful things, but falls short in many areas."
You will LOVE it!!!

"The Art of Knitting and Crochet 2 was my first introduction to crocheting. It made learning to crochet really really easy. Everytihng is shot nice and close and Nancy Brown's demos are right on point. You'll make some fun stuff with this dvd...it's great if you love to knit and are always on the lookout for additional knitting projects and are interested in learning to how to crochet. I love this dvd and I know you will too!!!"

"As an experienced knitter I can truly say that this DVD is an invaluable resource! I also loved the first DVD of this series (The Art of Knitting), which is why I bought this one and was very pleased with the crochet section. The stitchalongs were fantastic and the A-Z index is just wonderful for instantly a specific topic. I am very happy with this DVD and would give it more stars if I could=)"
Number Two is number one with me!!

"I got started knitting with the original Art of Knitting DVD in 2004. It started my love affair with knitting, which still continues. When I saw a second DVD was released, I scooped it up.
The advanced knitting segments have given me the tools and confidence to go beyond scarves. I have even started the sock lessons with Nancie Wiseman and can't believe how easy it is!
I was so afraid to work with dpn's (double pointed needles), but Nancie is a great teacher and takes you step by step through the process. But there's more....a whole set of crochet demos that are fantastic! I have always wanted to learn to crochet to make cute flowers as pins or decorations and now I can. As in the first DVD, the other segments are entertaining and informative, including the story about recycled yarn from saris, felting workshop and great resources and tips."
