Movie Reviews

Vivid imagination
Elizabeth Frier | USA | 09/13/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A terrific dramatisation of the Thompson - Bywaters Case of 1922 - 23. Edith Thompson was portrayed as an imaginative young woman, who whilst having an affair, wrote her lover letters about ways to poison her husband so that they could be together. When the Edwardian court took hold of these letters, they used them to condemn her to hang after Frederick Bywaters, her lover actually did stab Edith's husband to death. I would recommend viewing whole heartedly!"
A Really Good Tragedy!
C. Alford | Illinios | 07/07/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"A free spirited girl marries the wrong man and that leads to scandal and then murder. This is an intense drama of a true story."
