This set includes sixteen episodes from the second half of the show's third season, with Griffith starring as Sheriff Andy Taylor, a widower with a young son named Opie (played by a very young Ron - then Ronny - Howard); Frances Bavier as Aunt Bee, Andy's housekeeper and Opie's unofficial foster mother; Don Knotts as Barney Fife, Andy's inept Deputy Sheriff; Jim Nabors as gas station attendant Gomer Pyle and Hal Smith as Otis, Mayberry's town drunk.
