A good value if you don't care about "Sunrise"

"This best picture collection contains the following films that won the Academy Award's top honor and were produced by Fox:
1. How Green Was My Valley (1941)
2. Gentlemens' Agreement (1947)
3. All About Eve (1950)
4. The Sound of Music (1965)
5. The French Connection (1971)
All fine films, but the only problem is that three of them - How Green Was My Valley, Gentlemens' Agreement, and All About Eve - are already in the Studio Classics Best Picture Collection by Fox. That collection is also the only way to get "Sunrise", which won Best Artistic Picture of 1927-1928, the first year the Academy Awards were given and the only year that particular award was given. F.W. Murnau's "Sunrise" is such a great silent film - one of the five best silents ever made in my opinion - that it would probably be a better value just to get the Studio Classic Best Picture Collection and, if you are interested, get French Connection and The Sound of Music separately. Be sure to get the recently remastered double-disc edition of Sound of Music by the way, it certainly is worth it! However, if you have no interest in silent film, then this is perhaps the way you want to go.
