"I have always appreciated the way Dr. Dyer's books took subtle or sophisticated spiritual/metaphysical ideas and made them very accessible to everyday people. So, I was confident that this DVD would be an engaging way for my students to begin approaching some of these "personal growth" spiritual issues. Boy, was I wrong. While his books are engaging and understandable, his DVD is a big "snore". As one student said: "It's just some old white guy standing there going on and on to a bunch of old white people." Sadly, this is indeed a fairly accurate characterization. Dr. Dyer basically stands in front of an audience and drones in a monotone - accompanied by cheesy background music and poor production values. (We turned it off before the entire class of young adults fell asleep). I would have expected much more out of Dr. Dyer and am sorry I wasted the $19.00. In this day and age of easy, accessible and exciting video technology, Dr. Dyer needs to hire someone to get his production technology "up to speed," if he wants to reach a broader and younger audience."

"Very good, I have the cd and love it, I'm a little less enamored with the book, but I think the dvd is great."
